Welcome to our counselling service ("Service") provided by Bruce ("Counsellor", "I", "me", "my"). By using our Service, you ("Client", "you", "your") are agreeing to these Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully.

1. Agreement:

By using the Service, you agree to these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.

2. Services:

As a registered member of the Australian Counselling Association, I provide counselling services as described on this website. I adhere to the Australian Counselling Association’s Code of Ethics and Practice [https://www.theaca.net.au/documents/ACA-Code-of-Ethics-and-Practice-Ver16.pdf]

3. Eligibility:

You must be at least 18 years old to use our Service. By using the Service, you warrant that you are at least 18 years old.

4. Fees:

The standard fee for a 50-minute counselling session is $130. Payments can be made via the payment methods listed on this website and must be made prior to each counselling session.

5. Free Consultation:

New clients are recommended a free 15-minute phone consultation prior to their first counselling session to ascertain the nature of the Service and that there is a ‘good fit’ between the counsellor and client.

6. Confidentiality:

Confidentiality is paramount in counselling services. All your communications with me will be kept confidential, except in situations where there is a risk of harm to yourself or others, or where I am legally obligated to disclose information.

7. Appointment Cancellations:

If you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment, please provide at least 24 hours' notice. Appointments missed or cancelled without 24 hours' notice will be charged the full session fee.

8. Limitations of the Service:

This Service is not suitable for urgent or crisis situations. If you are in a crisis or if you need immediate help, please contact a local mental health crisis service or emergency services.

9. Liability:

I aim to provide a supportive and caring service. However, any decisions you make, and the consequences thereof, are your own. Under no circumstances can you hold me liable for any actions that you take. You agree not to hold me liable for any loss or cost incurred by you, or any person related or associated with you, as a result of materials or techniques, or coaching, offered by me.

10. Changes to Terms:

I may modify these Terms and Conditions from time to time. If you continue to use the Service after these changes become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised Terms and Conditions.

11. Governing Law:

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Australia. You agree to use the courts of Australia to resolve any dispute arising out of your use of the Service.

By agreeing to these Terms and Conditions, you confirm that you have read, understood and agree to abide by them.
